Finance and Payroll Assistant (Maternity Cover)
Salary: £28,000–30,000* PA pro rata
Location: Central Bristol (Hybrid with some remote working)
Hours: Part time – 28 hours per week
Contract Duration: 12 months FTC

We’re looking for a Finance and Payroll Assistant to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract for maternity cover.
The purpose of the role
The Finance and Payroll Assistant is a key part of the Finance team at Raised In, supported by the Head of Finance, ensuring smooth operations and contributing to the business’ overall success. The post holder will be responsible for processing invoices (both for customers and from suppliers), overseeing debt chasing, processing payroll, and handling general finance queries from customers. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

What about you?
Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in a finance-related role, excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to multitask and prioritise workload and be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
A Payroll and/or finance qualification would be a strong benefit or if you’re currently studying for an AAT or payroll qualification.
You’ll need to have experience using accounting software - Xero ideally, used to payroll software, especially BrightPay. Any experience or knowledge of the early years sector would be particularly desirable, especially knowledge of the funding landscape for early years.
