A nurturing environment designed to spark imagination

Our light, bright and airy north Bristol nursery at The Greenway Centre, just a stone’s throw from popular family neighbourhoods of Westbury on Trym, Henleaze and Brentry, is the perfect option for working families looking for nurturing care and learning for their little ones. 

The old school building has been transformed into a spacious yet cosy home-from-home nursery. With its high-ceilings and huge windows the space is filled with natural light all year round. Located close to the Westbury David Lloyd and opposite the Greenway Community GP Practice. This nursery has three purpose-built connecting rooms – the baby room, toddlers, preschool room and a large open-plan hallway that runs along the back of all three rooms where the children have lunch and other break-out activities. 

We’re especially lucky at this setting to back onto lots of beautiful outside space. With our own private garden accessible from each nursery room filled with play equipment, and we make excellent use of it! Just a short walk across the field lies Badock’s wood. With its winding trails and running stream, it’s the perfect space for the children to explore nature and get muddy. We have Forest School-qualified members of our team, and take every opportunity we can to get outside!

Proud to be a social enterprise

As a Social Enterprise Raised In doesn't have any owners or shareholders. A share of any profit (or surplus) is reinvested into our communities for the benefit of all. We were excited to be invited by Southmead Development Trust to open a 62 place nursery in the Greenway Centre, a fantastic bustling social hub for the local community. As our community partner, we provide them with a long-term and sustainable rent income. With our continued presence at the centre, we are helping to keep this valuable asset in the community. We can also guarantee an increase in footfall and also a client reach for other on-site providers and facilities.

Supporting community spaces and celebrating the diversity of our locations and our children and team have always been at the heart of what we do. All are welcome at our Raised in Bristol nurseries. Our ethos and curriculum focus on supporting children to feel connected to their local area, helping them to become active and engaged citizens with a strong sense of place and local pride. Southmead Development Trust and the Greenway Centre are a vital part of the local ecology, supporting your communities to be resilient, engaged and welcoming.
