At Raised in Bristol nurseries, we offer play-led learning in a space that prioritises a nurturing environment with a focus on nature and nutrition as your children take their first steps towards school.
Food glorious food
We know that having a good diet and nutritious and yummy food in the early years is essential for all aspects of development. This is why we have partnered with local family-run restaurant group Bianchis via Cucina Bambini to provide the very best in early years food for all our children. With low salt and sugar meals, and options to cater to all dietary needs, children in our Bristol nurseries are exposed to a wide range of healthy and delicious dishes, with learning via food embedded into our curriculum. Cucina Bambini sources produce from local farms and suppliers, ensuring that their dishes are always bursting with flavour, and remain true to our principles of buying locally and sustainably.
At the heart of the local community
Raised in Bristol is a not-for-personal-profit social enterprise providing the very best early years education whilst brightening the local landscape by investing in our community. We were invited by Full Circle Docklands to create a nursery in the St Pauls Settlement, a building that has been much loved and used by generations of the community. Supporting community spaces and celebrating the diversity of our locations and our children and team have always been at the heart of what we do. All are welcome at our Bristol nurseries with the education closely linked to the local area, and the immediate community in which we are based. Community spaces are even more essential following the COVID-19 pandemic and the changes to working life and community which have followed. While Raised In and our nurseries continue to grow, we remain dedicated to our original aims of supporting vital community spaces for the benefit of all.
A dedicated team
We have a brilliant team looking after the children at all our nurseries, and Raised in Bristol at Docklands Community Centre is no different! Led by experienced manager Kellie, our nursery team are passionate about high-quality early years education. We support our team with ongoing professional development opportunities, and as a Real Living Wage employer, you can rest assured that the dedicated professionals looking after your children are paid fairly for their work.
